I'm not quite sure but I think in some thread somewhere, someone said they called up Ford with their vin and they told him he had option 20 which is a police pack?? I'm not 100% sure though

Should say it on the top passenger side identification plate in the engine bay for an EL, not sure about other E series cars.
Option 20 = is police pack. |

Not sure if it's be the same for the holden highway pursuit vehicles But I was looking at a new VE and the bloke was raving on how it was ex polce vehicle and he pulled out the manual and service log and it had a huge stap on the front saying A.F.P Police vehicle.
Not sure I'd want an ex-cop car. Obviously due to there job it woulda been thrown around a bit.

as people have said, E-series ex-police cars have OPT20 stamped on the VIN plate in the engine bay.

I saw it on Carsales.com, it was a white VZ Executive, same as all the ones you see on the road, silver stockies and everything, but with a 6.0L Gen 4 V8 shoved in the engine bay. Was a highway patrol car from NSW or VIC i think.

And Option 25 = Taxi pack Not particularly sure if I'd want an ex cop car. Some might be babied but most have been flogged to within an inch of their lives. |

With some of the stories I have heard about how AFP treat their cars, I would avoid them myself as well, but the idea of a pov spec exec with a gen IV is nice, manual box, lsd some sticky rubber and a hole saw diet, could make a quick track car.

I wouldnt buy any of the ones from around my area. we've had a few come through my work where ive had to drive them back to the cop shop in the car and drive it back, and theyre pretty trashed inside, scuff marks everywhere, stains on all the fabric, dirt and s**t everywhere, and the outside only gets cleaned when it rains.

option 20
was on my ef xr8 look for fine increment speedo as most noticeable give away also passenger side b pillar will show evidence of where the wiring was usually behind the door sill if the car was marked.

Opt 20 = emergency services most of the time.
I have a silver EB 2 wagon here, opt 20. It is an ASV car.

My mate has a BF II XR6T ex cop car and it has 'NSW Police' stickers stuck all over the inside of the doors and the boot area.
Also has a siliconed up hole in the engine bay near the steering column where wires once ran. Also has areas of rust under the top door rubber in the centre where police lights used to be mounted. At night when the weather is misty you can see where the police stickers used to be on the bonnet. Log books are not up to date. Still has mount on top of inner windscreen for camera. Car has scrapes underneath it. Holes and scratches in the dash areas. Still goes friggin hard though Very happy to light up the tyres when trumped feels quicker than my BA

Track car = no interior anyway, so filthy is not an issue.
