Hi all hows it going?, has been a while since i've been on here.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but a mate of mine is looking at getting a Territory and we are trying to get a bit of a heads up on what the are like e.g any known problems, economy and a general consensus on the quality of the car. Thanks in advance Stubbsy |

ill just give you a quick run down, you have 6 main models
- SX RWD, 182 Barra, 4 Speed Auto - SX AWD, 182 Barra, 4 Speed Auto - SY RWD, 190 Barra, 4 Speed Auto - SY AWD, 190 Barra, 6 Speed Auto - SY2 RWD, 190 Barra, 4 Speed Auto - SY2 RWD, 190 Barra, 6 Speed Auto you also have the turbos, ghias, ts, tx, and sr's throughout the models when i was looking i decided to look for a SY AWD because you get the 6 speed and the 190 engine which might not have alot more power can get alot better fuel economy than the 182... a few common problems iv heard of are knocks in the front end and the rare case of rust in under door seals (the tail gate one in particular) check out this thread... dont get worried if you see a few bad reviews, remember you only normally hear from the unhappy people not the ones with many happy km's http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpost.php?p=375823&postcount=3 Cheers Cam

ball joints just randomly fall out on earlier models. but not when driving, while sitting over night. so if he does buy one check the ball joints often

Thanks for all the Info / links on these cars, they do seem like a good thing (although ball joints!) but i guess most cars have there inherent problems, Better it be dodgy ball joints than dodgy engines
thanks again |
