If you want to cheap out go to the wreckers and grab a second hand one and an air cmpressor while your at it and it may cost around the same as the high flow cat on ebay |

the o2 is a sensor that in short tells the car if its not burning all the fuel so the computer that runs the fuel can get the right mix. These get covered in s**t and when reading wrong can cause your car to not perform 100% and chew juice. Think from memory about $40 on ebay for a decent one and VERY easy to replace. Its the thing with the wires coming out of it down near that flange we were talking about ( in the engine bay).

Cheers mate. Should be able to do the sensor and cat myself theres nothing like fixing something yourself and enjoying a few cold ones after. |

ranga83 wrote: cold ones after? so thats what im doing wrong? lol seems like it the cold ones will cost more then an 02 sensor though this may sound like a noob question but i know for a fact if you got a car running way to rich / burning oil your cat will die but what if lets say your installing some pacemakers and you grab your stock cat and as you do it all rattles and starts coming out , would that equal a shot cat ? |

if your cat rattles and s**t comes out then yeah its shot

Chances of picking up a Cat at the wreckers will be slim as it is one of the first things they rip off for recycling.
Maybe someone here can help you out or get in touch with you local exhaust place and see what they have. Failing that grab the Red Back cat off Ebay and run with that. |
