if you look up from where the brake pedal is you'll see it mounted above the foot pedal on the same shaft
it's easy to replace, just remember how the parts came apart and put them back together the same way |

I think I posted this last time but here goes, found by taping the swith with elec tape keeps it going for ages, untill the tape stretches, so i cable tied it, havent replaced one in 4 years now, as for the paranoia of no lights, i made a very small pin hole in the back of my eye line brake light, now every time i hit the brakes i can see it working in my rear view mirrror, cheap easy, thats my bit.

take the small centre bush out as this can cause problems with aftermarket switches

my last one was under $10 from repco works perfectly for about 2 years now. the last genuine I got was about $30 4 years ago. I would suggest get a spare at $10 and keep it in the glovebox.
ok my 2 bits worth on the headlights. globes have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE YELLOWING. It's 100% caused by the sun. Sand and polish then get covers, COVERS WORKED 100% on my fairmont they still look like new and it has had covers since the dealer fitted them from new. My other car has very badly faded lights that I am going to polish soon.
