Occasionally when the car is rolling i can hear a squeakish sound coming from the left front of the car, it sounds to me like something is rubbing but im not real sure. Does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it? Also when i go over bumps (like speed bumps) i get a thump from both of the front shocks, my mate thinks its a sway bar problem but i thought i'd ask you guys because you all know what you are talking about, so how do i fix this problem as well?

good chance its sway bar rubbers, both ends and 'D' rubbers.

If you spray some CRC or similar in to the rubber bushes and it goes away for a few days, then you have found your problem.

Note this is not a permanent fix, just a test.

Sometimes i hear a similar noise when my car is rolling except it comes from the rear right. someone told me that it could be the handbrake being too tight but i guess if your noise is the front we are on different levels. I feel for you but, it gives me the s**t big time

Yes it is very frustrating as it only does it when i've been driving for a while and my mechanic can never seem to find anything wrong with the car.
