How can ur au be getting better economy than my ba? no, the ed didnt come with the turbo.. its an aftermarket kit fitted to an au xr6 engine in my ed... our au is pretty much std (engine wise) except for the exhaust system.. there is only 2 things that come to mind,, you drive harder then average or something is not quite right with yours??? |

I've always filled my EB xr6 up with caltex 98 but over the last few weeks have used BP 98 and have found its lasting alot longer + feels as though it's got more oomph!
With 3/4 city and 1/4 highway driving I managed to get around 370km with a quarter of the tank to go before I filled up.. That was with the aircon running for parts of it + giving it a bit of stick. I also think weight plays a major factor in fuel consumption as well as driving style.. BA's weigh in at over 1700kgs whereas I know for a fact my EB weighs in at around 1500kg. 200kg is actually a big difference when you think about it (and yes I'm aware that BA's have more power to compensate) but this leads me to my next point: Passengers Another weight factor to factor in is how many passengers you carry and how regularly you do it... I rarely have a full car, mainly just a passenger so I think this also helps. Just some more input

Filled up with bp ultimate tonite went for a long drive.
11.2 L per 100 km wow what great fuel this is. Lil bit of highway n heaps of green lights. ( dragging a fg stock xr6) Seems like it runs a bit better than caltex aswell. Very happy.
