Just purchased an EL Fairmont 1997 and would like to know how many Ks can be expected from a full tank of ULP.
Have been advised that it can vary between 470 to 500ks depending on how heavy footed you are - is this a correct estimate ? Thanx Tony (Auspom) |

depends what sought of work is done to the motor if any.
My car gets around 500-530km/s to a tank of petty, a stocko should get up in the 600's.

i havent topped up my car with a full tank since i bought it. but the trip comp shows 14/100ks. thats a little thrashing, lots of city driving, 100kms of highway and driving like a grandpa. its been on the road for about 400kms now. but i have topped it up 30 bux at a time. so i guess its about 400kms per tank.

My standard EL Fairmont wagon on a trip from Brisbane to Coffs and Casino etc I got 825km and the trip computer said another 30km to go but I didn't want to run out so I filled up.
Around town the wife gets from 12 to 14lt/100km she's a lead foot. Now with a Tickford intake and a K&N filter highway use is as low as 8.5 lt/100km. So I'm happy with that. |

I get 500 kays out of a tank of premium, (500 kays is ussually when the fuel light comes on). This is city driving and mostly just taking it easy, but with some short bursts of adrenaline flooring it down onramps etc

i got 620k highway a few days ago, but i get around 400 in the city, i live in city so this is annoying, funny thing is it doesnt seem to change if im lead foot or not, from what ive seen i could fang my car for 1/2 and use less fuel than if i sat in 5:30 ringroad hell for the same time.
gotta put my gas mixer back in and get gas tuned, gas is going down in cost, ULP is skyrocketing. rushed. |

In mine and mine is starting to play up now, I get around 600-650 kms city travelling (monash car park if anyone knows it) and around 800-900 on highway.
All i have done is: T5, 2.5", Tickford snorkel, stuffed intake and lowered
