coolant temp sensors are easy to change. not cheap though. about 50 bucks. i knocked mine when chang ing a dizzy and broke it (because mine is on gas it is screwed into a block off the thermostat distribution block vertically not the factory horizontally)

But regardless of what the rest results say, things like oxy sensor, coolant temp, thermostat and air temp sensors should be swaped every year or 2.
Being heated to an inch of their lives then run cool then heated, etc, etc on a daily basis takes its toll quickly... And these sensors don't last, they are only cheap s**t household electric components in fancy holders. On my EL, swapping the oxy and coolant temp sensor and thermostat every year or so saw an instant benefit of around 1l/100km. You can watch the sensor readings and see how much more accurate the information they provide to the ECU, and subsequently how much better overall the engine ran. |

Hi again
I have new figures after driving from the Central Coast to Sydney with the trip computer reset. 10.2 Ls to 100 Ks average speed 65 Ks hour. I think that's good enough for the amount of driving I do these days. If things get worse I'll wary about. Thanks guys Chicho |

Anyone seen one stuck permanently at 5V ? have tried a spare laying around and still got 5V
this is probing at the ECU , also whilst with it disconnected I am also seeing 5V but yet when I activate the TPS of the TB I get a rev change. |

you're probably probing the sensor reference voltage.
