LOL at "big" wade cam, the 1673 aint big.

As long as your run premo, economy wont suffer much at all.

My trip used to sit between 10.8 and 11.8, and with the cam its now on 11.6, but it drank the fuel when I put s**t 91 ron into it...

lol again....

its funny asking about fuel economy, and making the car more powerful :P Usually, I use the extra power thus economy suffers!!!!!

The 1673 is MILD as mentioned above it would probably give you 4km a tank less in normal driving conditions lol

977b will lose some more, Lower vacuum at idle due to larger duration and tigher overlap.. probably 20-30km - Some1 correct me if im wrong.

So much from a conservative old f@rt :P, I hate it when my dad tells me to stop going around corner's that he feel's are wasting petrol :evil: because he does it himself :evil:.

it shouldnt really matter (in theory)

however the idea of the selected cam for the i6 was for a good mix of drivablity and economy, so she might drink a good 1 - 1.5L p100k

My economy on 80% freeway and 20% metro area, used to be about 11.5 - 11.8L/100km. Now it is sitting at about 10.5L/100km, that was with a blocked fuel filter.

Now with a good fuel line system, I'm looking at 9L/100km on highway only (as I found out on the way to Bendigo) and a ridiculous amount during metropolitan area (spikes between 12 - 16...depending on how heavy footed I am).

phong =P~

EDIT: Filled my car up this morning, 52.88L after travelling 565.1km. That's about 85% freeway and the rest metropolitant. Works out to be 9.36L/100km. But seeing how my trip computer is rising in fuel usage...I believe my metro driving is about 16 - 18L/100km...:?

So there is an example of fuel eco with a mild cam and unclogged fuel line.

Well I can feel a lot of oomph up top. Though in saying that, I did do a whole engine transplant, changing from standard to a Tickford motor with the lot...so really, not much of a comparison. Comparing the current motor with another EL, you can definitely feel the difference. It pulls harder after 2500RPM in my car and keeps pulling until about 5500RPM.

Power and torque improvements were definitely noticeable. Fuel economy is also better on highway, but can't say the same for metropolitan...not sure if it's any of my sensors, lead foot, or the lack of resetting the ECU after replacing fuel line components.

Hope that helps.

phong =P~
