This topic hasn't been raised in a while and with everyone modifying and working on there cars lately, i think it is a good time to bring this subject up.

I am especially interested in the economy of the EL ghia I6

Car;
Engine;
Fuel type;
mods;
kms;
highway range;
city range; (includes driving hard and then soft)
Please state fuel tank capacity
If possible L: 100kms

yeah how the hell do you manage that? im lucky to get 500 on a tank with an EFII XR6 with extractors and exhaust.

mods: AUIII snorkel/K&N filter/mandrel intake/machined TB/stg 2 crow cam/paceys/exhaust
kms: ~240,000kms
highway range: 750-800kms
city range: (includes driving hard and then soft) - 450-500 (worse as i thrash it more :) )
Please state fuel tank capacity: 68L
If possible L: 100kms city: ~13L ATM (running very rich though) country: 9.5L

that's not too bad! I could live with 13L per 100km.
Im guessing that a "Standard" EL Ghia would have slightlyy better economy?

its only an average really though - if i give it a good thrashing for a day or so, then although the l/100km might not change *too* much, i may have gone through a s**t of fuel! :o

but yeah - my cam is the biggest hinderance to fuel efficiency - it really needs a chip (on its way :wink: ) to try lean it out a bit - i'll be using a ticky ECU as well, which should *hopefully* improve the efficiency (well at least driveability) a little more 8-)

kms: 176,000
highway range: 600km
city range:Hard - 200km, soft - 400km
Please state fuel tank capacity: Assume 68L
If possible L: 100kms: N/A - futura dash...

Mods; Stage 3 IT's kit (160 rwkw), Manual conversion, Sports exhaust
Kms; 108,000
Highway range; 700 - 750km's
City range; 450 - 500km's
Fuel tank capacity; 68ltr

Much better economy after the auto to manual conversion.
Extra 50 - 100km's per tank with the manual. Auto was chewing it up.
