I'm picking up a set of AU injectors for the better spray pattern to fit to my EL.
The AU XR6's ran a 350kPa regulator whereas mine has the 300kPa reg. Higher pressure generally means better atomisation so I'm thinking of grabbing an AU fuel rail with 350kPa reg and fitting it to my car along with the AU injectors. I'll be getting the car tuned after this stuff is fitted, but my question is whether the EL fuel pump will be ok with the higher pressure. Cheers. |

VCT runs 350KPA, I would check if the HP does 350 or 300KPA.

VCT and HP both had 350kPa regs.

Just make sure you get the car tuned all she will run rich. I fitted a 300KPA XR6 reg to the EL fairmont and it has running a little rich(but no more pinging gasing it up the nebo range). About 1month ago, I fitted a 6DJA fairmont GHIA ECU(tickford fuel maps) and the car is totally different, alot more responsive, no more black exhaust tip and way better fuel economy......................... and way better auto shift points................. Cheers

Cheers Yeah I know it'll run rich if I dont get a tune, I'll be booking it in as soon as the stuff is fitted. I still dont know if the standard EL fuel pump will handle the higher pressure tough. Do you think I should fit up an electric supercharger too? |

Hey MADXF is the AU fuel rail a straight swap, I already have the AU injectors fitted and want to upgrade the fuel pressure reg, this would be a good way to do it.

I dont know, I need to get to the wreckers and have a look.
I think the only thing that could possibly be different is the way the fuel lines attach. |
