im having probs with my stock 1999 au 4ltr auto ! i seem to be getting around 120 kms to about a 1/4 of a tank !i dont drive the beast hard and dont excellerate overly fast ! only sees city driving though! when i purchased the vehicle i noticed the revs would surge from about 800 rpms to 1700 or so while in gear !that has at least stopped now! not good when sitting at a set of lights with ya foot on the brake ! also i have always had the bad idle we always here about! have had a full service re;plugs leads and sh.t ! i have not had the fuel filter looked at though ! nor can i find those illusive vacume lines !i went to supercrap and bought the $50.00 repair manual and well the pictures are that dark you wouldn"t know what you were looking at ! and not very informative ! for the amateur !my car only runs on 98 premium you would think the cleaning agents within the fuel would give some sort of benifit at $1.35 ltr ! i never have to top up the oil or coolant ! question ! if i have to disconect the battery to reset the ecu ! wich lead do i take off ! and after doing this will that do anything to my smartlock ! as i can only lock my car now with my keys ! for some reason when i push the button on my keypad i hear this grinding noise coming from all my doors then my door buttons will cycle up and down 4 times leaving my doors unlocked with no imibobiliser on ! im assuming this might be a $500 door actuator job coming on !thanks

haha, it does get about 600km to a tank on the highway, so its not tooooo bad on a long drive, too bad it wont make a long drive without breaking down  but around town consumption is hopeless lol
