What are recaps, is that victorian for retreads/remoulds ? :)
I think most of them are only rated to like 110 or 120 or something ?
I felt bad/silly when I found out that after doing a big burnout with a set at the drags and then getting up to 160 on them down the strip :?

ive figured out it is definitly rev related not so much speed, (does it in first and second at higher revs) and third at speed is where i noticed it shakin, so that makes me think its the shaft.. hmm.
the angle into the diff is wierd cos its superlowerd so looks like i wont be testing the 200k mark anytime soon.

surely with street tyres you dont wanna do a huge burnout before you try launch it, remoulds or anything, cos the outer bit melts and it burn-outs eiser, if i was doin it , make sure they are warm, (not semi molten) then do you 1/4 then do your burnout in celebration/anger.

different for race or drag tyres though with hell soft sticky compound.

Check your universals, oh just read the rev related bit :?
Transmission shop?
My gear selector was shaking badly when i got up to 120 in the EA about 2 months ago, but since then i've replaced the engine mounts and universals (mine were dead, no needle bearings left in 3), and just yesterday it started shaking very slightly at 140, but then again its the 3 speed slushbox.

Check your harmonic ballancer...Check if driveshaft is bent? Just turn slowly or just replace it..Check suspention bush's and pinion angle...Is it any different if you put back tyres on front?

same problem in the wagon , just not at those speeds because i dont speed im sure we can all say that lol. if i pop it into N from any gear at a high speed i get a vibration and noise from this vibration , gearstick moves under accel/decell and shudders under accel. still with 300k on it now and 1500 bucks when i got it i cant complain at all.
