hey guys..

im getting 2.5" Redback system straight through fitted next week. I just want to get some advice as to whether i should get a hotdog, or stick with the muffler. i am also getting a hi flow cat with extractors.

I live in victoria, and I am off my P's and havent been pulled over for 3 years driving a v8.

im getting mixed feedback as to whether to get the hotdog or not. i want noise but i dont want it TOO much over the limit, and also better flow.

so if you guys have got a hotdog, or got the muffler i would like some feedback on how you car sounds.

thanks heaps!

Usually people who get a hot dog still have the muffler aswell.
I can't see a system with just one hot dog being legal - would be bloody loud!
I've got a high flow cat, Lukey ultraflow, offset straight through muffler and Lukey ultraflow hotdog and it is bloody loud as it is. But I've heard systems with only a single straight through muffler that are quieter, queer sometimes!

Ive got a redback system with a muffler in the middle and a hotdog for the rear, its pretty loud even with the hotdog, and thats with out extractors, they'll be louder once those go in, i think go with a 2 mufflers (one of them being a hot dog at the rear) you get a nice beefy note without it droning too much.

extractors don't usually make it louder or quieter, just change the noise at the different rev range usually.
