I really dunno, i do drive past a cop shop on the way to work everyday, plus there are days when a loud exhaust is the last thing i wanna hear, i'll leave it a few more weeks and see what i think

Look at it this way.
With the resonator, it can still be 'not so loud' (I won't say quiet, cause it's not :P).
Without it, it's loud ALL the time.
I had a resonator in the Sprint for a few days, was too quiet, so I ripped it out for a straight through tail pipe.
Now obviously V8's are a different kettle of fish, but I still could not live with that noise every day.
Driving it in the morning with a hangover would probably kill me.

Its actually got a really sweet note atm, id probably wreck that by taking the resi off, once the engine up to normal temp, put the boot in, sounds real beefy, had quite a few compliments roll in from some birds at work :)

i have just the centre muffler in mine. and it sounds heaps nicer than most of the other zorst i have heard on falcons with the resinator.

Has a really nice bit o chunk (for lack of a better word) from about 1800 rpm onwards when playing with it. And its loud when i boot it.

But when just cruising cant even hear it. perfect!!

A lot of people have said its the most v8 soundingish 6 they have heard!! :D

Take the resinator off.

I had the exact redback system on the car, I let it burn in over 3 months but the exhaust note was way too quiet. Had to get the revs up past 3500rpm for any really noise and at idle it sounded nearly stock.

Took it back to an exhaust shop and they charged me $50 to remove the resinator and replace it with some black 2.5in pipe. They just cut the tail pipe where it joins into the resinator and flanged and mig welded the new pipe over it. Also welded a bracket on for the rubber mount under the back gaurd.

When the exhaust fitter started it up in the garage, i said to myself "now that's what i'm talking about"

Had alot of remarks in the following weeks; like "did you get a sportz exhaust fitted to your car" Before no one even knew it had an sportz exhaust system on it.

Doesn't drone either on the highway, is loud accelerating and then quite when it locks into 4th..

Only had good comments..................................

I have a berklee cat back with pacie PH4480's.

I specifically ordered my system with no resonator, they had to have one shipped up from adelaide. But Dang its loud. when its warmed up, it really bellows from about 1800-2500rpm. The problem is I've got a manual with a 3.23 diff and sititng on 110km/h it drones very bad. Lucky my GF gave me her sub :)
