Well its happened again! I blew the intake due to some backfiring issues!

So now i am left with need to fix it (properly).... basically all i need is the bit of piping that comes from the air box to the bit of piping near the TB.

Everything else is fine... So this week and posibly next week i will have to decide what materials to use etc and how to go about fixing it.

PLUS on top of that i will need my new leads asap, rather than getteing my lovely Magnecor leads (RRP $115) i will just get the Eagle Dominator series 9mm leads, which is what i have now. Roughly $60-$70.

(hoping this will fix my backfiring issues).

Also found out i have a coolant leak from somewhere near the thermo...

Tell ya what one thing after another..Not happy :x

So anyone have any idea for me as to how i can fix the intake...

Thanks

Andrew

Plugs and leads are critical on LPG particularly with coil packs. I tried the Bosch leads from supercheap, cheap and solved my backfire issues. Get rid of the piping if it is EF and install the EL intake but make sure you have some form of pressure relief incase of another backfire. You can either install springs on the filter lid or add a hole to the tubing or lid sealed with tape.

Cheers
TW

put the leads on before you put the pipe on unless you're going to make a relief valve in your new pipe before you fit it else you might blow up your new pipe ... doesn't matter too much if it's ef or el pipe, but if you're converting from one to the other you'll need more bits to do the conversion ... wrecker charge 1/2 new price where i live, that's still too dear IMHO ... see if you can pick one up somewhere that charges reasonable prices

i glued mined together with selleys all clear, twice!, until i found a replacement at a reasonable price

Ha ha lol thats great interceptor. But when LPG prices cost the same as milk then i might.... But having duel fuel saves me from running out of fuel... such as yesterday. Went to adelaide and ran out of petty and drove about 20kms on a near empty gas tank lol!!!

But ne way i will get the leads this week then.

Cheers
