Hey guys put the "new" EL XR6 on the dyno at intune motorsport at castlehill today..

came back with a very healthy result.

I have the full history of the car..

its had a full engine rebuild end 2004 so I am sure that has contributed to the result as well..

anyway have a look at the pics and tell me what you think. (not about dyno's I hate that arguement)

I put it on the dyno to basically get a base reading of what the car is doing before any mods are done.

then in about 1-2 weeks run it again cause it will have an RPD cam (alted cam) in there and a few other goodies.

will keep you all informed of developments..

enough talking s**t for now. here is the pic.

Thats just too good a result for a stock EL XR6.

Sorry but you might lose power with the Alted cam!

Mate, I can not believe that that motor is standard. There is no way a stock SOHC 4.0 litre is punching out 141RWK.
I have a set of replacement headers, hi flo cat, intake modifications and a DEV3HL cam and mines is punching out 149RWK.
Hmmmmmm...............

hehe sucks to be y ou then..

guys as I've said.. I dunno whats in this engine, I only picked up the car last thursday night..I also doubt its standard, I got reciepts from the previous owner will all the work done but not listing any particular part or work ie head rebuild.. does not say deck the head, but does not mean it has not been done. ok

I'll do my best to find out whats in there cause I would like to share how to make your falcon go as hard as mine!!

but until then..

suck eggs boys I got a fast "el stock-o" falcon

fresh as.

I will sit down with all the paper work and have a look first.. see if I can figure out if there is anything special in there..

I doubt the alted cam will slow it down any as I'm putting my stage 3 in there.

anyway lets see what it does..

it hangs the back out real nice with the crap tyres on there.. I'm getting a set of EL GT's early next week with hopefully a nice new set of Yokie C.Drives.

Yeah what's the deal there? Looks like someone's been playing around with the FPR.

Lol, probably a lot more power to be had if you can get a smoother AFR. Maybe this is an engine which has been worked but not yet tuned...

it feels super torquey, its as good as my 5ltr. I believe that its still running the std cam as it runs out at the same spot and has the same characteristics, however if she has been bored out 0.030-40" (as higginbottoms are known to do) and its had several thou taken off the head she will be a happy little thing
