yer, i got a ba, and i called my mate last nite and asked him what he reckoned on pricing, and he sed he wouldnt have a clue, maybe $800 or so for it and then extra to install it, and i rekon it'd be a pretty pricey job to install, thats a fair bit of labour, so i was like f**k that for the time.. unless sumone knows a price on one for a ba and a general price to install.

A quick note. Changing the diff ratio will NOT move your power band up or down.

Good to see your stall is working. 142 through an auto is a good result, and is about what Dev4's are making. Nice combo mate. The 8860 is an awsome piece of gear as well!

If you don't stall it up... is the acceleration still better with a hi-stall?

I've heard it is if you punch it.

Anyone get limp home yet. At what RPM point did you find it happen.

Driveability is still the same in peakhour traffic if you take off normally.
If you put your foot down a bit more when taking off it usually slips up to about 2000rpm and when you boot it it goes straight up to 2800rpm.
Acceleration is still the same if you don't stall it up, but most of the time it will stall up with more than 1/2 throttle (which is most of the time with my driving!)
It hasn't gone into limp home mode as yet (fingers crossed!!)
I hope this makes sense! :?

yeah makes sense.. drove my mates manual converted fairlane the other day.. am hoping to get a test drive in someone's hi stalled car sometime soon.. just for a comparison.

What's all this talk about limp home mode? why would the car do that with a hi stall?
