that pretty true.. but when it comes down to it. it's an engine. get air in get air out. get your head ported, call a cam company tell them what it flows have them do a cam to suit your head and your needs. take your pick with extractors and exhaust. use the right compression to suit the cam. and you'll make just as much power an JMM can build you. in most cases the stock ecu will work but no matter what anyone tells you using a fully programable ECU IS the ONLY way to make full use of extra airflow. |

^ what he said
if you cant be bothered with that, decide what you want. more up top power, 3500rpm onwards? RPD Stage 3 lumpmaster cam, get a spare head, send it to RPD and get them to port it, etc to suit the stage 3 cam, then buy some extractors that maximise up top power, EG Pacey Comps. No point having a massive cam with massive lift when the head is still capable of flowing the stock amount of air. That way all your power gains are grouped in together nicely. Thats the way I'd do it anyhow.

If you don't like JMM, that's your problem(s). Don't give everyone else the s**t and try and taint their gear becuase you have some sort of agenda against them. I have JMM products in my car and they are fine. Personally, I thought, for the money, it was great.
149 at the rears isn't mucking about by any means and it's equal or better than, what some other blokes with supposedly "better" gear in their car are getting. Oh well, at least JMM can back their product up with actual PROOF!!! You know what you are getting and what to expect when you purchase something from them, Unlike some other companies that you car to mention who stilll, to this date, are unable to provide consumers with proof of power gains from their gear....!!!!!!! I would rather pay the extra asking for the R&D and assurance you get with their gear!!! So lay off O.K. I'm F**k sick to death of it!!! |

talk about giving other people s**t because you have agenda against them lol.
I can see why you're upset after spending all that money, and its great that you are happy with what you bought, but this is a place of opinion, and my opinion (along with many others) is that Jim Mock overcharges... its as simple as that, I didn't say his products didn't work, I just said that they cost too much. So next time, before been sick to death about something and laying it out one someone, think about what you are saying, and if it makes any sense, because PERSONALLY I don't think for the money it was great. Thank you for your opinion

Ok then, I have just read the article and would like some info or confirmation about a statement in the article under the heading 'Air Intake'.
Jim Mock states, Quote "Contrary to popular opinion, J.M.M. says the EF Falcon's divided passage induction pipe between the airbox and throttle gives more power than the larger, single-bore pipe used on the EL and AU. " endquote. Well what's the go here. If I put an EF air induction pipe onto my AUII, as JMM said, will I get a better airflow than the standard AU pipe? Is Jim Mock correct in this statement and if so why hasn't this mod been widely spoken about in these and other forums. I have heard that the EF airbox lid is better for airflow that the AU lid, but JMM refutes that in the article also. So, who is correct on these points???? |

Over pricing is one convenience I don't want. Cheers He provides proven ways to improve performance of the falcons I6... Some of us don't have the time or more likely the knowledge to do the s**t he does... He offers drive in drive out service. No f**k around "convenience"

Everyone will tell you something different on this matter mate. JMM have done testing and found that the EF gives better power. Personally, looking at the design of the two, my assumption would be that the EF intake would give a better torque spread, but slightly less top end power, with the EL intake giving the better top end grunt... Just my opinion though. |
