ok ive come across a way to get a growler intake very very cheap, yes its been used, and yes the car it was originally on, had a nice big crash and now sits in the wreckers. at the moment ive got a K&N filter installed with the typhoon intake, car also has a full exhaust system done, with paceys, now the question is what will the growler improve on in this set up, obviously i want more power but will it even be noticeable?? if its not worth the performance (only gives like 2 rwkw) then ill just put the money to better use, like under drivers.
car is a ba xr6 non turbo

hey mate, when you say the typhoon intake you mean the secondary one right? not just the larger snorkel that the xr6t's have as well. I got the growler on mine and love it, definitely made my exhaust louder, i havnt heard what the typhoon mod sounds like plus i like the look of the growler over the stock airbox anyways. How cheap are we talking if you dont mind me asking? Liek cheap enough that if it dont make a difference its no real loss or i guess you could always clean it up on sell it, pretty sure it would go quickly.

Cheers
Phil

oh nice mate, alot of people on here will probably say stick with the typhoon as the difference between the 2 will be slim and none. I know whenever someone asks about the growler the general comment is do the phoon mod and save ur money on some overpriced plastic, each to their own I say!

Anyways i think you would probably be best to just stick with the phoon mod.
