Well i've had a little accident with one of those tapered collets used to hold the valve springs......it seems to have found its way into the sump  , i'm thinking i'm just gonna leave it there cause i can't think of a way to get it out! Any thoughts on how to get it out without pulling the engine out? if it just sits in the bottom of the sump it cant really do any damage can it. Its right at the back to probly around the no.6 cylinder to.

If its in the sump you could use a strong magnet to drag it out of the oil drain hole???

Just a suggestion.

i dont think that would work cause its right up the back of the engine and even if i did manage to drag it to the sump hole i think it would have like a nut welded on the inside of the sump so i still probly wouldnt be able to get it.

Gravity may play the defining factor in that equation.. Just because you can drop a coin from the top of a sky scraper doesn't mean you can get it back up..

Unless you can throw really really really really high and far! Or you put it in your pocket, walk inside and take the elevator back up...

yahoo i got it! using a magnet in a piece of tube and stuck it down from the head into the sump and got it! The odds must have been a million to one lol Yep changing the valve springs to suit my shiny new Dev5 cam.
