hey people, ive probly got one of the stupidist problems... my hand brake on my 90 fairlane is stuck about 3 quarters the way down, it wont budge or move a bit
if any ones had this problem and got an idea how to fix it could you please inform me? cause the beeping is driving me nuts!!! and i need the carso i got to drive it... thanks for the help... cya Matt |

i would guess its frayed, might have to pull it out and replace it. i remember my xg van doing something similiar when the handbrake cable started to fray

yep cable is fraying,,replace it now before you try to pull it on and it flies out and hits someone,,did that in the XF,,funny s**t but not recommended

Just be warned though, the front section is no longer available from ford (obsolete now). I had the handbrake cable (whole thing) replaced recently, and the only new part they could get was the rear section. By the way, if you let me know, I can sell you an entire new cable (only on the car for a month). But be quick, cause the car its on should be getting taken away next week.
