i used a 22mm socket for the main bolt.
I have successfully removed the HB however the new one won't go in properly. it's as if it is getting stuck somewhere. Any idea's? |

nah mate the key hole thingy is fine. the HB will only push in around 1/2 way of the entire length & i can NOT get the bolt into the crankshaft piece so i can screw in the HB.

me again did you fix it? if not may be the key which i think is a half moon shape is not staying in place when it spins a bit it can stop the hb from going on ie: halfway

all fixed. i used a thinner washer & got the bolt to catch on the threads, then i gave the bolt a few good turns & that then pushed the HB in a little more, i then removed the thinner washer & replaced it with the correct size/type washer. Just drove the car from Roxby Downs to Melbourne. All is good apart from oil leaking from the head gasket.
