im replacing the head gasket on eb2 and in the gasket pack it says to replace the head bolts .Do i need to or can i use the old ones and any idea how much by chance.

never use used head bolts what u should do is get an au head gasket and use au bolts

i went to autobahn and they dont know of any other head gasket they said they go from 92-on and they showed me the books and theres nothing there or should i just get it from ford .Where do u buy the head bolts from i wouldnt know where to stsrt for them.

yeap got o ford get a AU Metal Shim gasket and head bolts eb to au are the same head bolts

Apparently from Coventry you can get headbolts and AU headgasket for $70 :)

As all say use the AU head gasket but if you cant get one monotorque are ok. The head bolts get them from Bursons cost $25 but the gasket kit complete i got from the same place that did my head cost $80. The kit contains exaust manifold gasket, head gasket, o rings for heater pipe, rocker cover gasket and seals for bolts, gasket for the split in manifold and other bits n pieces. thats for an el though.
Its also a good idea to have the radiator professionally flushed whilst the head is being done.

it sure would au gears = higher compression

I don't know about other auto stores, but at Repco the heagasket for EF is the same as AU. And they are both the metal ones. Head bolts should be too expensive, worth replacing.
