somethimes you can undo a rounded bolt with hexagonal sockets not multi angle but than again depends how rounded.

ok its not that round just round enough for the socket not to grab or spanner also i dont have a welder or gas just tools i might try the knocking one but i have 7 of them to do cheap bolts

use a file and shape it back to normal. have a vacuum running to suck up the filings so they dont get into the engine. (if ur game).

single hex socket like impact ones for rattle gun. new one so its tight

file it down, then wack a smaller socket onto it usin a hammer, good quality one so it wont round. then remove the fukka

Try a "metrinch" type socket which uses the flats , not the angles of the head of the bolt .
This type of socket allowed me to remove thermostat housing bolts which appeared to have no discernable hexagon left. Hope this may help. |

There are special sockets you can buy to remove bolts that have been rounded. You hammer them on to the bolt you want to remove and it grips its tight put in your breaker bar and undo. There not cheap though bought mine for $120 and it was only 5 sockets. but it needed to be done

I grind a groove right through the middle of the bolt head, then hammer a piece of metal into that, then use a shifter and an extension bar to turn it around, worked a treat the last head bolt that rounded itself on me.
