Hey guys i used my multi meter to measure the bolt i found that there like 1 - 2mm to long but then also that dosen't leave room to tighten up the bolts on the head with the touque wrench
What should i do cut few mills off or put a washer under the bolt? i snaped one of the bolts the other day but i got a spare one that what made me measure out to find there to long yes i have cleaned out all the bolt holes and threds on the bolts and the holes too i taped and die the bolts and the block to clean the threds

you do need new ones. the head would have hardly had .5mm taken off.
there is no way they would have taken 2mm off the head just to clean it up. they are too long because they have streched |

if you use washers you'll have to make sure there hard enough I guess.

Its a common rule when doing the head you always renew the head bolts. Easier to replace them now than the head and bolts later.

The bolts dont care what your doing in 6 months time... For the small cost of replacing the bolts, its not a huge price to pay to have an engine for 6 months. If you dont replace the bolts, chances are you will snap them while your torquing the head... Just replace the bolts. |
