When i pull my dipstick out the oil looks like chocolate and has plenty of bubbles through it which im assuming means a failed head gasket yes??? Im waiting on my tax return to get an au motor to put in there but is there a fix that will keep it going for a few weeks. ie do those crappy sounding headgasket treatments actually work???
Just had a thought about timing. I was in a workshop getting my car noise tested and was reading about e-series timing and this says u have to wait 2 mins instead of the under 1 min thing on an el b4 checking/setting timing. True?? |

why don't you change your oil & don't overfill
the chocolate & bubbles could just be old oil and too much of it is your car using coolant?

As for timing..you need to put the car into diagnostic mode...then wait around 2 minutes...the revs will drop and almost die, then return to normal...THEN you can check your timing...
