i was driving today decided to tramp it, then all of a sudden as just as it went to change gear it felt really lumpy at the high revs after reving out 1st, pulled over and coolant was everywhere in the engine bay on the intake side, did i blow the head gasket or just a radiator hose.

Well do any of your radiator hoses have a hole in them?

At a guess I'd say you blew one of the heater hoses under the intake manifold. Have a good look around and under the manifold.

there is 2 radiator hoses right?
the top right one (when looking at the engine)
and the one that goes to the water pump to the radiator on the left.

what should i do first, take off the intake manifold to see if there is a broken hose underneath that, because it seemed like the coolant came from around that area.

it was the heater hose, had a split in it, so it sprayed everywhere.

sure did, just happend after that, i think i seen your car too. it happened on old geelong road near SKF bearings.
tow truck got there within 20 minutes from racv for free.

i bought the hoses today, the strait heater hose is easy to do, but the one with the bends in it, like an S is hard to get off the heater, its not blown just thought may aswell replace it, is there an easy way to get it off.

lol... Interesting coincidence...

Yeah, I saw you as I was driving out of the Stocklands site. If I had of went back to work via Old Geelong Road I would have seen you in again, but in a lot more distress.

Those hoses on the firewall are pricks to get off... Easiest way is to try and wiggle the clamp off and down the hose, and cut the hose with a knife. Then slide the new one back on, and wiggle the clamp over it..

Usually I crack the s**t and end up taking the top half of the manifold off or taking the manifold out all together. Makes it 10 times easier.

Careful of the heater core pipes the hoses go over, they are easily squashed.
