My Ford has done 260000 km and still going strong. My question is that we have removed motor to do core plugs and think the head gasket might need replacing. Do we do it and how much are Ford genuine gasket cost please?

If your going to change the head gasket it's advised to get it machined and new head bolts are required as there torque to yield bolts. Head bolts were 40-80 depending on genuine and non genuine bolts. Can't remember the head gasket price though.

There are kits on eBay that will give you a rough idea on price.

vrs kit with the mls is around the $200 mark I think
