ok so i'm not very happy just done the head gasket on my EF and the car was misfiring and running up the s**t so replace a few thing coil pack, leads plugs fuel filter and air filter. then got a compression tester off a mate today number 6 cylinder has on compression. So i have to pull the head off again.

May not have cleaned to surfaces sufficiently either. but i will not leave this PC until i get a reply to put my nerves at ease!

Nar head surface and block surface was cleaned correctly just the mechanist didn't check the valves and number 6 was burnt out

what did he do a skim and hope for the best? as Phongus said, time to get a machinist, unless it was a work order you specifically requested than fool on you.
But until we know all the details, i guess not much more can be said. it seems i have been a bit to cynical of late so i will reserve any further comments

ok so the heads off looks like number 6 inlet valve is the problem its has had much contact with the head and looks like it has a hair line crack around it going to send back to the mechanist tomorrow and see if he will fix it for me looks like the injector on number 6 wasn't working as well because the inlet port is still dry and the rest of the ports are wet. Bit piss off with the car atm costing to much money because the auto shat it self. But these things are common on falcons.

Easy u got to lift it straight up the is a doul at the back might need a bit of a tap to free it up to don't try and lever it up u can do damage to to block or head

yer thats got to come off remove all the 10mm bolts and dont worry about unplugging any off the manifold because it just stay in the car

.... should have got it presure and vac tested, waste of time doing the gasket and not checking the actual head for problems. cost me 80 total for a pressure and vac test. although everything came back fine, i would rather know that guess. its cheaper than rebuilding the head.

the machinist i use was in hurry had heaps of work to do and i want it done that day. and didn't pressure test it not my fault for not telling me he has done a few head for me and this was the 1st one he f**k up.
