lol then why does it say on there website they give 9.6? i just had 40thou off the head and 8thou off the block. combined 48thou, running with ACL race series and an AU head gasket to give 10.2:1 comp. no chance the pistons alone rise comp from 9.3 to 10.2 |

Am running standard hose to the mixer adaptor, the stock hose, pvc pipe for hose to clamp to , then stock hose and the stock air inlet to air box with the guts cut away for more airflow

The only problem with shaving the head down 50 thou or greater is you will mess up the fuel bowl and the way it is designed to work. This will cost you power and efficency. I would not consider going over 30 thou. Use a hi comp head gasket too just for that tiny bit extra

I'd really like to see you explain that theory in some detail. |

Ok.... I talkd to two mates of mine and after looking at the head that was there reccomendation to me about shaving it and the effect on the fuel bowl. I am not going to attempt to explain it because it is way to technical for me to even try. One of my mates, Neil, was the head porter for Cragar's v8 supercar program for six years and has built plenty of incredible motors. Those holden followers amungst us or even people with there eyes open at summernats should know two of them at least. CYC 08 the chamelleon twin turbo vt 5.0L and these number plates were previously on his other car witch was a VK sle N/A STREET CAR with a 383Ci stroker running low tens and pushing 680BHP. The other guy who advised me of this is also a former Cragar employee, Keith, he runs several drag cars that he builds motors for and also helps out his boss with midget sprintcar motors. So if it is ok with you i will listen to them. I don't confess to be a expert and by no means d i know everything but i know solid advice when i hear it. So if you want it explained talk to a real experts. Tickfor 6 if you consider your self a real expert and want to attempt to explain it knock your self out!!!!!!!!!
