Try picking up a copy of Perth Streetcar magazine ...plenty of alternatives in there.

Maybe call Terry at BPT Motorsport 9302 3415 ...maybe he can arrange the work or recommend someone to you.

Kostecki's are very expensive for not much gain in power.

excellent. thanks very much.

i'll ring terry tomorrow.

kostecki is expensive but his website makes claims of 305hp@ the wheels for the 4K which in itself isnt too bad....until u speak to him in person and then there's heaps of other factors. without rubbishing them they are probably right but i was hoping to find someone more suited to my budget.

Yep, I went in and spoke to them about their head / cam / intake packages ...and they told me it would be approx $4K for a 20% increase in power (about 130-140 rwkw on a stock EF) ...$4K didn't seem worth it for a measly increase like that.

You could always talk to Terry about getting some Jim Mock parts over from Melbourne ...as I know BPT have already spoken to them about getting their gear & fitting it here in WA.

I didn't laugh but I did walk away ...and I then looked into the Jim Mock DEV packages that were producing more power.

This is how I came to have the EL XR6 I have now, as Brendan Mock recommended it to me while I was on the phone to him!

Yep, $4K was for the head porting, cam, intake, labour and installation ...but it was the measly difference in power that put me off.

it's gone up then. i got quoted 4K on a head, cam, followers and valve springs - no installation or labour.

on a v8 u can easily spend 20+ on a pair of heads so 4 isnt too bad for 1 head. it's too bad for me cos i dont have it.
