I have been reading a fair bit in search but could not come up with
and answer. We are doing my mates head on his EF falcon because
it is cracked.... long story not the cars fault. He knows
a wrecker so we want to know what's the best head to put on his
EF. I know it won't make much difference but might as well
since we need a new one.
-What car does it come from?
-What identification numbers will I find on the head
-Why do you recommend it??

I'd suggest getting an ED or EF XR6 head. The XR6 heads have bigger diameter exhaust valves, slightly stiffer valve springs and some port work. They have a Tickford logo on the front of the head to identify them.

Are you planning to get the head tested and valves reseated before assembly?

Thought of getting a complete low km AU motor?

Hybrid or AU Head if getting ported. Otherwise EB.
