Put my engine head in for work will see it in the new year, porting and higher compression new flat face valves etc, the porting guy does work for people in america, supposed to be real good, thats a craftsman.


Torque converter makes noises like rattly pipes, sounded like ot could have been an engine bottom end problem but the mechanics stethescope pins it down to the torque converter, rattles when front of car is higher or reversing and braking.

Time to upgrade to something stronger and more suited to power, no high stall wanted here.

Moral : Got a problem, throw $$$$$$$ at it !

my god im glad someone else has that noise i thought the bottom end was stuffed but rebuild the bottom end but noise still there and only when the front end is higher ,so now i should replace the converter what a converter worth anyway .

mine dows that when im parked on a hill. ive been told its the rear of the crank slushing in the oil at the back of the engine

IS THAT NORMAL I DONT HEAR OTHER FORD DOING IT OR DO WE OWN RETARDED CARS ,MINE MAKE A HORRIBLE NOISE WHEN PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY THE NOSE OF THE CAR IS UP A BIT OR WHEN THE NOSE IS ON A STEEP ANGLE DOWN ,SO OIL OR CONVERTER OR BOTH MAYBE IN ANY CASE IT SOUNDS s**t .

Mine just started doing it, I am very sure it is the torque converter, will take it into auto trans specialist on Monday 7th and find out

maybe to be on the safe side might do the same ,mines done it for 2 years and is getting worse over time just a little

mine sounds the same all the time when im parked on a slight hill.
i dont think its anything to worry about. im not

and what pisses me off is i had the engine out about 6 months ago and i was looking right at the converter and didnt give it another thought would of saved me heaps of time and effort

Just got a quick assessment from the auto trans specialist. first listen by him seems to indicate a busted vane in the torque converter.

Still going on the 7th of Nov

Ive got a torque convertor out of a eb if anyone wants it? lol i got no use for it.
