i second 'claytonchatham'
my old ef had the 4499's (low down power) and i was very happy with them, imo the 4480's are a waste of money especially on an auto.

i highly doubt you would be able to tell the difference between the two anyway

agreee with this after a few years driving a few different e-series. 4499's for general mild stock street engine and paccy comp's for engine that has head work, mild-wild cam, ecu management( etc..)

4480's ftw! if u have a manual deff get these, you wont lose any down low, but gain soooo much up top.
Dont even bother with the 4499's unless u want to save $50

What if the auto is being used for quarters? Wouldn't make much sense in using 4499's for the extra $50-$100 saved (considering this won't buy you a regrind cam, any headwork, diff gears...about the only thing it might is a bit better intake pipe).

It is only if you intend on not changing the cam that I can see 4499's as more beneficial, as pretty much any aftermarket cam will make peak torque in an rpm range where the 4480s will perform the equivalent of if not better than the 4499's (common misconception 4480's are for the top end only - they will outperform 4499's over the majority of 1000-6000rpm).

OK, now I'm confused. I've read threat after thread on the difference between 4499's and 4480's and i always thought the 4480's were better overall/low end and the 4499's better for top end / angry motors... I must be retarded, lol.
