Gday, i own an EA series 2 fairmont Ghia
On the Climate control panel i turn off the A/C compressor from running, and raise the temperature to 32C'. If you were to start the car from Cold it will take 30 mins to get to Warm, it wont get to 32 degrees. But when i hop into my TOYOTA CORONA and put the Heater on I get HOTT in 3 mins from cold start !??, and it gets REALLY HOTT ! ! What is wrong with the EA and how can i get it up to TOYOTA standards of heating hehe. Cheers ! |

my temps usually take a while to get up. You have to wait for the car to warm up before you can get the heater working. might want to check your heater core, it might be blocked...though it is an annoying task to take out the dash and putting it back together...in one piece by yourself. Or it may be the heater tube in the engine bay...
that's all i can think off. phong =P~

seems to be a long time, though you do realise the heater works off the heat from the water/coolant running through the engine and into the heater core?
so if your engine is stone cold, the water/coolant going through it is going to be cold too and going to take time ti warm up before you get any heat from it

Is the car getting up to operating temp? If not, either the thermostat is stuck open or it's been removed
