Hi all, I replaced my heater tap, getting hot coolant on hoses both sides of the tap meaning it's engaging, but now the vents are only getting slightly warm. Before this the heater worked perfectly and I replaced the tap because it was leaking coolant.
Any ideas of what it could be anyone? |

Broken blend door/blend door motor, or vacuum hose has come off somewhere.

Why would the motor die after changing a tap? And the vacuum hose is connected as the tap is opening and closing it's just a little stretched
|

Did a cc diagnostic with no errors.. I think i've put in a series 2/3 control which I pulled out of a series 1 fairmont, will get another series 1 control and see if it rectifies the problem.

are you talking about the fan control module ??
if ya are .... & ya find another ... let me know as i'm after one

nah im talking about the climate control, this is AU btw
got another series 1 control, fixed the lcd screen and made the colour filter white, it looks perfect and works perfect. |

yeah i realised its AU - did ya mean the control screen then? [still findin me way around lol]

yeah, the lcd in the middle with all the buttons is one big unit called the climate control, clip out the plastic surround from the clock and one screws brings it out.

hey mate I got the same problem been told it's the blend door but I get no codes either would be great to know if a replacement module fixes it!

hers works good but i've been told the module [near heater?] doesn't currently work properly
 coz it only work with the "H" settingthanks for the info re removing it from dash
