Hi Guys, so my NEW F%^K#N heater tap is leaking, or one of the hoses. Last time I replaced em I did it the easy way. it was when the engine was out. Now its back in.
So does anyone have any tips of an easier way of changing the tap and the hose to the tap and firewall? I don't want to get under there, skin everything off my knuckles to find I just needed to tackle it from a different angle. My heater tap or associated hoses started to leak the other day and I want to get at it this weekend while I have time. Assistance is appreciated. OR If any boys from Newy wanna come and change it for me, there might be a drink in it for you. I'll be at Wangi Wangi this weekend. Dave

I did change one on Cam's ED and I got at it easier from underneath. I was lucky and the hose clamps had a hexhead screw and was able to use Ratchet and socket. Hope that is useful. |

Thanks George, I was gonna tackle it from underneath, probably gonna have the same awesome level of access as doing plug leads. Car will be on a hoist today so I will have a perve to see whats gonna be best. Me do it or Pay some hard earned for some other sucker to do it.

I will actually know what the issue is soon enough though. car goes on a hoist in about an hour, will decide then if I do it myself or pay some "mate" to do it.

turns out to be the heater return line. Got no time to do it, so its off to the mechanic to do it for me..

yea i did the au from underneath, got coolant down my arms, i suggest maybe wear rubber gloves and a rain coat..lol

The only way is from underneath, unless you want tyo pull the BBM out

underneith..steer tyre removed to make it easier, and drain coolant before hand so u don't get covered? (ive only ever done the tap twice, not the hose to the firewall)
