Well today i decided ive had it and wanted to rip apart the car and put that heaterbox and also ghia dash loom in.
All i can say is, holy s**t who did all that dodgy wiring on futura thing! (oh me... damn!) Took me a lot of effort to get it all out i must admit, not a quick and easy job although i did some fibreglassing efforts at the same time as well, not feeling to well from it (fumes that is, and the fumes from aircon gas release!) On TOP of everything, whilst clearing looms and fixing up everything to put the heaterbox in i gashed my arm on the steering column metal and ripped my arm apart a bit! .... 3 stitches later and unbelievably no f**k 24 hour medical centre im doin alright... got a bit faint earlier after it LOL but eh! Anyhow, heres some pix of my fibreglassing efforts, dash looms, heaterbox and everything else! I will put bit more of Pierres DIY Fibreglass Boot Efforts (which include free inhilation of chemicals too). I will also hopefully not be lazy enough and put a DIY Alarm Installation, and also Car Kit for those who don't know how to do it when i put my car kit/alarm back in again tomorrow (if arm works well enuff that is) â– As you can see with the Fibreglass im basically trying to use the curvature of the boot for the sub box, a 10" will be on each side facing on a angle inwards. Doco & NFO from http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/ â– GHIA Dash Loom Pic â– Dash out More pictures of heaterbox out and everything else tomorrow too, including maybe my slice of arm and stitches too LOL... (only me i swear) |

The dash loom is quite easy to change, took me the least amount of time. Its mearly getting the dash out which actually isnt that hard either.

That is one reason I dislike working on cars nowdays plus not the time on hand . To many cuts & stitches in the past Plus a car that come of the stands while I was pulling a gear box out lucky I was a skinny 19 year old. But in the end you have done the work yourself which brings appreciation of things in life.

After lots of inhalation, remember when the little Leprechaun and his talking animal friends tell you to set fire to things, make sure you listen |
