Hi everyone,
My mate has a 95 EF Manual supposedly with a 977 Wade Cam on dual fuel and recently it blew a head gasket... and head. It started running like a dog on both gas and petrol so we decided to rip the head off and 'fix' it. We managed to redo the head and gasket etc no worries. all connectors where they should be and everything 'looked' ok. We even managed to start it. But the thing is its still running like s**t. Its very temperamental with when it wants to start and when it does it runs like s**t. At one stage we had it running ok on gas (90% power) but nothing on fuel. We've looked through all the website has to offer, swapped the ISC for a working one (my mates is temperamental) and nothing changed indicating the ISC wasnt really to blame. However we managed to still get it idling. Does this sound like an ECU problem? Sensor problem or what? ive heard of idle circuits failing on the ECU, is this viable? Also does anyone have a EF workshop manual tuning guide as i cant find one on the site. More so if anyone has a Manual ECU they dont mind me borrowing for testing South of the River in Perth that would be absolutely awesome. The MAP sensor has been tested ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated... almost ready to torch the bastard. Thanks Sam |

PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED THANK GOD!
For anyone out there that has this problem. Did a diagnosis on it and came up that the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) was rooted. Swapped it for a working one and hey presto! Works a charm. Thanks Sam |
