hi, i know nothing about cars so im in a spot of bother. the last week or so my car has been going thru alot of petrol, i used 3 quarters of a tank in 3 days and didnt really do much driving at all, i have noticed a strong petrol smell comming from the back seat of my car, not the normal fuem smell but heavy petrol smell. has anybody come across this before? is it possible i have a leak somewhere? what is causing my petrol to be chewed up so fast?

a mate of mine had a similar problem in his bmw i turned out to be a leaking fuel sender...

Check your connections at the petrol tank, could be a split hose
