Hey everyone

After I go for a drive and then stop and turn off the car.. there is sometimes (not all the time) a small puddle about the size of a 50 cent piece on the ground directly underneath the front of the kframe. There is also a really faint coolant smell in the air. I can't for the life of me see where it could be leaking from... any ideas?

Cheers

have a good look at the bottom of the waterpump. also, look at the head gasket, under the exhaust manifold at the front.

If it's at the very front it could be the radiator (Common problem).
Best to pressure test the system to find out.

The radiator hoses were the first thing I checked.. guess I shoulda actually looked at the radiator too.. Pressure testing it is a good idea.. just need to find someone that has a pressure tester lol

Mine does the same thing. I replaced all hoses and that fixed most of it but now im having the same problem as you.
I then got a pressure test they said it was fine.
I have now narrowed it down to the welch plug which i will replace and see how it goes.

Yeah I'll be (re-checking) all the following as soon as I get home from work:
*Welch plugs
*Radiator and hoses
*Head gasket
*Water pump

If it's the head gasket then I'm never buying a falcon ever again hahahaha

Pressure testing is always good, but doesn't always bring out the problem, the pressure can actually cause a leak to close in a radiator.
For eg; If it's leaking around the seal of the tank, the pressure can close it and it wont show the leak.

Had the same problem. Mine was leaking from the shaft in the water pump. Very hard thing to find but when the engine is warm turn off and after a minute or so have look under the water pump shaft. Mine would only let out a couple of drops but was a pain in the a*** when coolant is left on the concrete.
