Do you know if the fuel pump is priming the fuel line during start up?
Before you turn the car on, put the key into the ignition position and listen for an electric whirring noise coming from the boot. If it whirrs for a bit and then stops, then your fuel pump is fine. Next...have you change the fuel filter before? If not, it may be blocked if it hasn't been changed for a while. Check your air filter...might be blocked causing poor induction and choking the car. Check the usual, spark plugs, leads etc. phong =P~

I second phongus. Service the car (ie replace all filters, leads, plugs) This usually clears up most probs. It's certainly a good place to start and wont cost you too much if youre able to do it all yourself. Also check your ignition coil, heard a few ppl have probs with this. If the problem persists, then youve got some searching to do through the 6cyl workshop forum. This place is a wealth of information FORDMODS rocks!!! Good luck!

change your filters, then if problem still persists, start looking at the pump.
