hey guys
was driving around a corner yesterday and i lost all power for about 5 secs then the car just stopped all together. i then started it and it was fine. it did the same thing today. any ideas as to what this might be?? i checked the fluids and oils the morning that it happend the first time, they are all fine.
Had a previous issue of the car just stopping right out no loss of power first it just stops, but that issue was resolved through the ps fluid being a little low and faulty signals being sent but that is fixed and now i have this problem which is similar. any ideas would be good thanks

i had a smartlock issue where the car would just cut out at any time. i've got a 5sp manual and the ECON light and the Smartlock light would come on when the car stopped. the local ford agent was useless, i think i fixed it myself when i had the dash off and made sure all the wires were securely in the BEM.
