Guys my EF Fairmont is having major troubles with the oil pressure and the engine is running very ruff at idle. Ive done the usual diagnostics.. as in replaced sparkies, oil, leads, everythin...

I duno what to do or where to take the car to?. I live in Sydney Brighton Le Sands area and i want to know where would be the best place to take my car into to get it looked at?

Also I recently put in a bigger fuel pump, injectors and regulator so im thinking of just updating my computer or somthing.

Im totally lost in this field guys. Any help from you pro's would be very much appreciated :)

To date the mods i have done to the engine are:

600HP Fuel Pump
Bigger Injectors
Racing Tech Regulator
Bored out intake
Extractors
Straight Through 2"1\2 Exh. No Resinators

I would think that the pump, regulator and injectors are your problem, in an otherwise standard motor the ecu will be expecting a certain fuel delivery per pulse width from the injector. The ECU in closed loop can cope with a small change in this figure but outside the limit it will be overfueling the motor resulting in less power and worse economy. As you eluded to, you will need an after market ECU or get the original ECU modified by chipping to suit your mods. Either way your looking at big bucks but if your chasing power this is the only road you can travel.

Shouldn't he O2 sensor read the over fuelling and the ECU sdhust fuel input accordingly?

To a point... IIRC about 5% or 10%... then it cracks the s**t.

You NEED to address the larger injectors with ECU modifications.

Re Oil pressure issue i would change the oil,

what are the syptoms exactly?

add a mechanical guage to elimate any electrical problems

why are you running bigger injectors and fuel pump anyway?

The o2 sensor would probably be just reading rich all the time...

The computer wouldn't be able to lean it off enough because of the larger injectors/pump.

Usually the fuel system in the falcon is one of the last things u would touch when going down the performance road.
