the BA's r rev limited to 3000rpm in neutral afaik... just put left foot on brake, right foot on gas and away u go... i have seen BA XR6 utes do some good skids before, so u should have no worries...

The one i've learnt is the skinner the tyre the easier it burns(DAH). Went from 215 which would smoke up evan when i didn't wont them too(in front of the cops Do'h), to 235 which need a bit a persuasion to burn.

A1 line lock is the best one as it is australian made and available at places such as rare spares with spare parts readily available ( its made by the same people as oz nos nitrous systems) |

If the ute has the 18inch xr8 rims then i can understand it not doing burnouts. A mate of mines dad has a xr6 sedan with the 18s and sp9000 tyres and my mate couldnt get it to do a brae liner. I assumed he had no idea what hes doing so i gave it a burl, it evently got going but took a s**t load of effort. This is only with a single spinner too.

these brake linelockers, where can you grab them from, how hard would they be to install, and what kind of money are we looking at?

read the posts above yours irwin it says where you can get them.
Covers - Sounds like you have REALLY sticky tyres, probably whats holding you back so much. If thats the case, you'll chew through them in no time when smoking em up... just remember that. I reckon you should just look for a cheap set of pursuities or something with tyres on them you can smoke up easy and burn to your hearts content... my $0.02 |

first rule of burnouts, use cheap tires, on interceptors.
a word of warning tho interceptors get a little crazy to drive on if your used to bigger wheels, they will snap harder around corners, and can get reeeealy hairy in the wet. burnouts cost money, be prepared to blow up stuff, like p/steering pumps, rear quaters (if you blow tires), and motors/graerboxes esp auto's. try to make sure your cooling system is up for thee job, maybeget bigger trans cooler, oil coolers. hope it helps. |

ok uve had a heap of advice any luck so far??????
if not i recommend going to a open hard surface something that represents a car park move the steering wheel to right hand side sharp turn while stoped with auto in drive then jump off the brake and on to full throttle and u should go round if your still having problems take a bucket of water to this open area and pour it all over the ground and start the rears on the wet ground the plan is when you f**k up not if but when that your in a nice open space and wont hurt other people yourself or the rims of your car on curbs or other things that could be in the way..... goodluck!!!

ahhh, if you want to make a regular habit of standstills make sure your cooling system is up to the task.
Think about it, lots of strain on engine/gearbox and not moving to get air to diffuse onto radiator. |
