I would be looking at an earthing issue on one or probably both of the rear lights.

Definatly earthing mate...the wiring does not change, ie no one would have swapped the wires, give the battery terminals a good clean, and any earth connections to the body of the car, also give all the globe holders a clean, and spray with wd40 and wipe with rag to get most of the excess wd40 off, also make sure you have the correct gobes with the correct power ratings, and all will be fine.
You can check the power rating of the globes in your owners manual, do not go of what was in the car as someone could have fitted incorrect globes. |

Yer i got all the right globes i made sure
i got a can os wd40 and a massive bag of rages ive give that all a go just seems weird that so many globes are stuffed up at once Also i fixed the blown air bag fuse and the cluster air bag light out but it flashes every so often i think it when ever i touch the brakes didn't really take much notice

you'll probaly have to get the air bag error codes read (fixed?) and cleared.

current always looks for the easiest way....so if you have bad earth connection the current will go anywhere, especially if the bulb holders are wet or dirty or rusty,
Its a common problem on cars like my coupe, turn the indicators on and the brake lights will flash, hit the breaks and one indicator light comes on etc etc etc anything could happen, its just bad connections....very unlikely to be anything else.....whenever it happens to my coupe I just clean up the connections and all is well again!!!! check the wiring diagram, but it sounds like you found the earth connections as there would not be too many, just look around and see where there are wires connected to the car body and clean u[p the connection, ie take it off give it a good clean even with sand paper and coat with a wipe of wd40 and reconnect, also check for wet wiring connectors, as water conducts elecricity and might get current where it is not wanted again bad earth agrevates that problem.. If you still having problems take it to auto electrician, also check that the wiring looks original, and has not been cut or modded in any way which is not likely in most cases |

Its could also be a faulty socket or damaged wiring for a trailer harness.
Remove each brake light and try again, if the fault goes away carefully inspect each socket and bulb to ensure its not shorting both wires out. |
