i have a full herrod 2.5" system from a mate cheaply on my ef futura but doesnt really sound any different. its more for the performance side, but now im starting to go full out with my car and want a deeper tone. it has 2 mufflers on it. what can i do to gimme a better tone? something like change the last muffler, or get a straight through pipe made up for the end and just take out the last muffler?
i dont wanna take the full system off and replace it because its an awesome system what do you think... cheers biff |

straight away the problem is the two mufflers. i have just a small resi on mine but its LOUD. For a deeper tone take one muffler off or take them both off and get a performance muffler

well im in adelaide so i'm not sure of different brand systems in vic.
yah only have one muffler, from what i know its legal. if u keep one muffler it won't scream, it will have a nice tone to it. i think redback have good systems

Herrods should already be using high flowing mufflers, specially for the exy price of the gear. I think there gear is generally marketed for new car buyers that wanna start playing which is why there systems arn't loud. Removing one of the muffler and replacing with pipe should get you some nice noise. If you don't want to go too loud replace it with a hot dog instead.
Wheny ou do remove the muffler have a look in it, as it mihgt not be straight though. If it isn't then I'd suggest you remove the other one too and fit a straight through muffler (personally I recomend Lueky mufflers...). |
