about the only real benefit is it is already fitted with larger exhaust valves.
there some minor changes in port shap too. if don't plan on have a port job done it would be worth a bit of power. but if you plan on getting a port job just use the regular head |

whats a port job worth?
if your buying it and pulling the head off, see what 600ish would get you in terms of porting? cause thats what itd cost ya for the head at a guess

You can buy this one on ebay for $1250.00 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TICKFORD-4-Litre ... dZViewItem
or you could get your standard head ported & Cc matched for less or equal the cost for the tickford head. you'll have better gains then what that d***head is selling on ebay.

Get the Tickford head you will pay around $ 500 at the wreakers.
If you are putting your cam on you will notice the diff. not a great deal but you will have better responce, get a few thou thaken off before you have it fitted even just to make sure it is flat.

im thinkin about taking my head to them.
but is pose it all depends what your after. if you're just looking for a mild port and polish, for a pretty reasonable price, with some better kit on the top, i reckon they'd be worth a closer look at the very least |
