What about if u get the code 12, with the light flashes and
code 14 with the beeps from the ef/el diagnostic switch? 12=low battery voltage (pretty sure its not) 14= crash sensor shorted to ground or something. How can u check this, check the restitance an so on of the front crash sensor? cheers efmonty88 |

hey mate just clear the codes from the car, there is a tech doc on here how to do it, by using one of the pins in the diag port and then earthing it out.

Cant clear airbag codes in an EL like you do in an EF by shorting a pin. Need a WDS for that.
And if you pull the globe, the airbag ECU will beep out the error codes instead.. Plus a code for broken bulb. End fix is to take cluster clear cover off and put tape over the airbag like section. |

Hi there.. Had same problem recently in my EF for a couple of months, believe it or not i pulled front passenger seat belt fully out and made sure it retracted properly and guess what? problem solved.. I kid you not, give it a go if you haven't already fixed the problem. Cheers...

You must have been stupidly "planets lining up with 5 blue moons in a row and blessed by the Pope and St Peter himself" coincidently lucky as there are no sensors on the seat belts, for that to have happened.
Chances are you hit the number of key starts required to reset the airbag ECU warning light. |

I tried earthing out the correct diagnostic plug pin (top row, fourth from left.)
earthed it to the door check strap, but still no five beeps like tech doc says n light still on Am i doing something wrong? Also, just letting u'z know that i have one of those ef/el diagnostic switch things you plug in to diagnostic plug.. cheers efmonty88 |

I keep getting code 52 , I've done about 600 key starts in the past week but it still won't clear ? The guy at the local ford dealership told me to disconnect the battery and leave it overnight but that hasn't worked either . |
